Happy Halloween 2013

Vanessa and I spent Halloween at our mom and dad's. We had so much fun taking little 'OWL-iver' trick or treating. We couldn't stop laughing about how excited he got when the trick or treaters would come to the door. Gosh Halloween is so much more fun when kids are around. Don't ya think? I love Halloween because its the true beginning to the Holiday season. Vanessa and I are already going crazy talking about what vintage ornaments we want to buy for our Christmas trees. The holidays are the best!

Hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween and ate lots of candy :)

Easter in the Desert

We hope you guys all had a wonderful Easter!  We spent the long holiday weekend with our entire family (12 in all) in Palm Springs!

We all had such a great time!!!  Our hotel was absolutely beautiful and super family friendly which made it that much more special because the kids had so much fun too.  I think we only left the hotel one time the entire weekend.

We spent our days poolside sipping on margaritas and sangria. Our evenings were spent on the main restaurant patio where we dined al fresco while listening to live music! It was paradise!

Our family has been going to the desert on Spring break for years and this place somehow always continues to amaze me with it's pristine weather (we love the heat!!!!) and it's never ending row of palm trees.  Candice and I always talk about someday buying a second house out there because I could really get used to that laid-back way of life!

Well, if you don't follow us on Instagram, here are some of the pics we posted from the weekend! xo Vanessa

Welcoming Spring

(On Vanessa- Dress: Vintage Johnathan Logan, Brooch/Bangles/Clutch: Vintage, Shoes: Nanette Lepore. On me- Dress: Vintage, Brooch/Bangles/Clutch: Vintage, Shoes: Seychelles)

With the first week of spring came lots of overcast days. Foggy days until 6 o'clock when it would finally clear up and then turn dark. Oh thanks spring for the nice welcome! So when the sun finally came out one day, Vanessa and I jumped at the idea of meeting for lunch together, outside of course. We met in Orange at our favorite lunch spot Citrus City Grille with our mom and little Oliver. We chatted the whole time about our spring break trip to Palm Springs on Friday. Who was going to bring drinks for by the pool and what was everyone packing to wear? I am getting so excited just writing this. Laying by the pool all day and only worrying about where we are going to go for dinner is all I need right now.

What are your plans for spring break?

So sad to see the weekend come to an end. I just dropped my mother-in-law off at the airport. It's always so hard to say good bye! But we ended up having a fabulous week.

This is what Candice and I wore to our mom and dad's Christmas party this last Saturday. I secretly wish these Christmas parties could be held once a month, all year long. I cherish these moments in life when family becomes the priority and getting dressed up, sitting by the fire and eating one too many cookies become the only to-do's on our weekend agenda.

As you can noticeably see, my baby bump is growing rapidly now. I will be 6 months pregnant this next week!!! I can't believe our little baby boy will be here in just 17 short weeks. I can now feel him dancing in my stomach, kicking and moving all around. it really is the most magical feeling! xo Vanessa

Holiday Dress

Oh boy, do I love this dress. I loved it so much that I considered keeping it for myself but I had to resist because I can't keep everything. If I kept every piece I loved, there would be nothing in the store.

It's the perfect dress for the holidays. It reminds me of something you would see in a Christmas movie from the 50s. It gets me in the mood to bake gingerbread cookies and sip on egg nog. Oh geez... what am I going to dream about when the holidays are over?

My family is having a huge Christmas party this Saturday. And nope... the partying hasn't stopped since we got back from San Francisco. I promised myself I would spend a few days detoxing (for my liver especially, from all the drinking I did in SF) and at least one week eating super duper healthy. But that lasted about one day. It's so hard eating clean during the holidays when you are tempted by so many delightful holiday treats. I will start detoxing on Sunday but we will see how far that lasts considering Christmas is just around the corner. I might just have to wait until January, the most boring month of the year when having a few drinks makes the month so much better. :)

San Francisco

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving with their family, friends and loved ones.

If you have been following our blog for sometime now, you know that every year we travel to San Francisco with our whole family for Thanksgiving. We spend Thanksgiving dinner at the same Italian restaurant each year, chowing down on pasta instead of turkey. I definitely recommend visiting Fior d'Italia if you live in San Francisco or plan on visiting and you want to eat some AH-mazing Italian food. :) The 5 days we spent there were consumed by eating and drinking that my stomach is still full today. I had so many photos of food on my camera that I had to choose the very best one's for this post (But hey, that's what you do on vacation right?). :)

Vanessa's baby bump recently took a growth spurt. If you follow us on Twitter, you probably heard her announce last week that she was having a baby boy. The news came in perfect time for Black Friday... we spent the day shopping for adorable tiny blue onesies. I could spend hours in the baby section at the Macy's in Union Square. It is so much fun!

In celebration of Cyber Monday, we are offering all of our Facebook & Twitter friends FREE combined shipping on all US orders all day long!! All you have to do is just send us an eBay message saying that you’re a Facebook and/or Twitter friend and we will send you a revised eBay invoice with the discounted shipping cost. Happy shopping :)

xoxo,
Candice
