Happy Holidays to you girls! Hope everyone had a relaxing Christmas break with their family and friends!
I always love this time of year because it's a time for reflection, as well as a time to set goals for the new year. 2012 was such an amazing year for Candice and I, both personally and professionally. We have so much to be thankful for!
I welcomed a beautiful baby boy into the world this last April. Oliver turned my whole world upside down in the best way possible!
It has also been a year of change & growth for When Decades Collide!
We permanently moved our store from eBay to Etsy in March! We had been selling on eBay since 2010 and we were really nervous that this move was going to force us to lose a lot of really important customers but overall we were thrilled with how smooth the transition was. We really love the boutique feel of Etsy and that it is a marketplace for only vintage and handmade goods! The selling fees are also substantially cheaper on Etsy which is huge for small businesses like us. Every dollar we save on seller fees allows us to invest more money in the store.... which means more dresses for you!
Another thing that Candice and I are really proud of is that we are professionally dry cleaning all of our dresses! We were previously hand washing/steaming our garments but we never quite cleaned them as well as the professionals do.
We also finally finished our website! We are SO happy with the finished product!
It's fun to look back at all the pretty dresses that have come through the shop in the past year but I must say, it's getting harder and harder to pick our favorites!!! (You can see our favorite dresses from 2011 here)
Last but not least, I am so lucky to have the best partner to join me on this crazy roller coaster ride. Candice is such a joy to work with! We both work really hard but we have a lot of fun doing it.... even on those freezing cold Sunday mornings at 7am haha!
I can't wait to see what 2013 has in store for us! xoxo
